1/4" aluminum bars are inlaid into solid walnut lumber before they are cut into triangles. This creates a simple concentric outline around the pentagons and hexagons. The pentagon shaped hole is rimmed with 1/8" aluminum. I like the contrast of natural and man made materials working together.
