Made with Australian Lacewood. Sometimes known as Leopard wood. The log is cut so that the growth rings are perpediccular to the surface of the board. This special way of cutting reveals the lacy pattern. Becuase all of my triangles are cut from face grain, the pattern is distributed over the entire surface of the sphere.
